The Rules!

All you need to join the Digital Campfire is any kind of digital visual media, internet access, and a knack for storytelling...

-Your film can be anywhere from 20 seconds to 2 minutes in length, and in any visual medium you feel like using.  Live action, flash, still images, clay-mation- as long as you can upload it as a viral video: it’s all good!

-Send us the finished viral video at: counselor@digitalcampfire.org. We will add new chapters to the story in the order we receive them.

-Your segment of the story can be about anything you want, so don’t feel limited by the events of the previous segments.

-The only connecting thread we expect in every film is a main character wearing a red t-shirt. However you decide to interpret the character in your segment (age/race/gender/whatever) is entirely up to you. Every chapter should start and end on a door for continuity between segments (however you decide to interpret the doors is entirely up to you).

-Include a really brief description of your chapter to accompany the video.

-Tell us where you’re from so we can track the travels of our story.  Feel free to incorporate what’s unique about where you live into your segment. 

-Also, feel free to use your segment to tell us about yourself.  Make this as personal (or not) as you want.  It’s entirely up to you how you want to tell your twist on the story, so have fun with it!

-The Digital Campfire is everyone's story, so do what you want with it. Re-assemble the chapters, re-cut other submissions, re-envision, re-submit.
